Average course but good value in winter
For the time of year not bad condition- only 2 winter greens in play
Course is ok not a lot of wow holes though
Winter golf
Very friendly, a couple of winter greens but other greens fast and in great condition. Great clubhouse, food brilliant.
Nice short course but very poor signage
The course was in good condition considering it had been snowing. Winter tees and greens but that’s not a problem. First time we had played and we struggled to find the next tees a lot as no signage to help especially with the winter tees.
The course was practically empty but for some reason member playing on his own decided to play right up behind us hitting balls past us. Even when he should be waiting on us to ring the bell he still played his shot. It became a pane so we missed a hole just to get a break.
Lovely course
Lovely course great value for money greens in fantastic condition. No waiting on any hole quick golf wide fairways would recommend this lovely course.
Winter sun at Liberton
Despite forecast of rain, only one short shower, then sun. A couple of winter greens and tees but most in good condition. Good greens. Only problem is finding the next tee, could do with more signage. But great fun.
Perfect day on parkland course
Course is very well designed through mature , country house estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Lots of mature trees, but fairways are usually generous. Mostly interesting holes, but nothing too difficult to put off beginners. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Course needs to provide a map of the hole layouts as it is often not intuitive.
Lovely course, friendly people
Second time of playing and really enjoyed it. Minor gripe: the signposting between tees could be improved, there are no indications to the visitor as to where the next tee is and it is not always obvious. Some indication of the lie of the land would be helpful too: mid-fairway markers, markers for greens out of sight, etc. Otherwise full of interesting features but nothing too scary for the mid- to high-handicap golfer.
Liberton Golf Course Visit - August 10 2021
Visited Liberton GC today with two friends one of whom played the course for the first time. We were all in agreement that the course cannot be faulted in any way. The course is presented well, and the greens were in excellent condition. We all could not get over that the greens were all without a single blemish and the green keeping staff richly deserve praise for all their efforts. These were without doubt the best greens that we have played on this year. The course is in stunning condition and members must be proud of their course, and the Pro was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to return to play this hidden little gem sometime soon… Robert Cooper MBE
Nice course
Very nice course well laid out great fairways and greens will definitely be back top marks
Great 1st time
Lovely tight course, immaculate greens, every green has a donut of sand around them, better signage required for visitors green to next tee
