Perched atop the cliffs that are situated above St. Andrews Bay, Fairmont St. Andrews offers two stunning traditional links golf courses, the Torrance and the Kittocks. In a region famous for being the home of golf, both courses manage to hold their own against the area's other links courses. Playing the Torrance Course, you would never believe that it was once flat farmland. The designer, Sam Torrance, transformed the course into a challenging links layout that looks as though it has been there forever. The classic Scottish bunkers that are strategically placed throughout provide a formidable test. Be careful from the 14th green to the final hole or you might find yourself tumbling down the rocky cliffs. This dramatic final stretch of holes is especially scenic and challenging with greens that play right along the edge of the water.

St Andrews Fairmont

Just an unbelievable days golf fir £25.00. Staff were fantastic. Course first class, weather in December like August. 61 and no wind. Perfect winter golf , course empty. One downside, very little available at clubhouse. Had to go to St Andrews fir lunch and cup of T. Top hotel could do better to support wonderful golf facility. RDC

Great condition for late Oct

This course was in excellent condition for late October. Greens were superb running true. Fairways were as good as you would play in the high season. Tees too were in great condition. Clubhouse and pro shop staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks were a bit pricey. However overall a great experience. Looking forward to returning soon.

Jeniec Golf Tour

A lovely sunny Autumnal day, which certainly helps - especially with the fantastic location with sea views and grand old St Andrews in near proximity.
The three of us loved it and will certainly come back to play the other (Kittocks) course ASAP.

A nice walk

Was really enjoyable and appreciate the continuous good service in the pro shop by John and the team. Also nice to be greeted upon arrival. Course was in good shape, green excellent, and played fairly. Would come back.

When can we go again?

Fantastic experience. The Fairmount Torrance course is a fantastic links course. The course was in great condition and the staff are very welcoming. We seemed to have the course to ourselves so took the time to enjoy the surroundings and great views. After using Teeofftime to book a round for 3 people and making a great saving we discovered that the Fairmount course also have golfboards available (look up golfboards). So from money saved we decided to book a golfboard each. Best decision we made. Perfect for adding extra fun to your golfing experience. We manage to take our time on them and still play the front 9 in 1hr. We have never had so much fun on the golf course. I will definitely be playing the Torrance again. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks Fairmount.
