Troon Links - Darley
About
The first Troon Municipal Darley Golf Course dates from about 1910, though the current one, with its original bogey par of 71 opened June 9, 1951.
Troon Links - Darley plays shorter than Lochgreen, meaning a tight round of golf with heather and gorse clogging the edges of several fairways, and an easy enough start makes the tests between the fifth and 15th holes all the more frustrating.
Shoot straight on Troon Links - Darley, as, in addition to the heather and gorse, there's plenty of whin.

Excellent value and all year condition
We played Darley as the final course of our 2021 season of the hole way round. Even in December the course was in excellent playing conditions. Even if the weather wasn’t.
Check out our video of the round https://youtu.be/9a5t6VpEPX8
Ok course. terrible facilities
Enjoyed the course, not in the greatest of conditions but greens were good the worst part was the cafe shut at 3.45pm so no food or beer, we finished at 4pm.
No buggies either on darley. But some fun holes if you don't mind a long walk between holes
Great course
Great variety of holes, all the par 3s where brilliant looking holes. Need more signage going to the second hole. If you’ve not played the course before you want have a clue how to get to the second tee. Great course apart from that
Gets better and better
Greens and fairways were in great condition. Weather was great which helped the enjoyment of playing a tough course. Like many courses, would benefit your game from playing a few times. Wonderful location
Wonderful views
Upon arrival we were welcomed in the bar and the staff were great. We received a £5 refund because the greens had been core aerated recently. Course in great condition otherwise.A beautiful sunny day helped our enjoyment of the course. Views are stunning throughout.
Troon golf
Fantastic course , greens where perfect To be honest I play here every winter and always get perfect greens , I’m a big fan forTroon golf courses .
Good Course
Good course. Good condition. Signposting for holes over the road could be better.
Need to be straight off the tee!
Good layout but offline shots are severely punished. Spotter up the fairway required on some holes even at a par 3! Punishing bunkers too!
Lochgreen a more rewarding and forgiving experience.
Score cards / distance markers.
No score cards no distance markers on tees ( COVID 19) an excuse many other courses we played did not have this problem. Would not recommend this course to a stranger.
Great Course
One of 3 courses that sit together. the 1st and 18th par 5 are stunning. Tricky par 3’s and mixture of tight and wide fairways.
Darley gof course
We have played this course several times on tjis occasion it was not enjoyable. No scorecards, no buggies, because of Covid
Thhis should be stated on website, my friend could only play 9 because of no buggies. And it was useless without a scorecard. Apart from the greens, the course was in poor condition, rubbish on course, people walking with dogs etc
