Kingussie Golf Club
About
Kingussie Golf Club was established in 1891. In 1908, Kingussie sought the advice of Harry Vardon and extended the course to 18 holes. While some improvements and modifications have been made, the golf course is still very much as it was - Highland golf at its best.
Kingussie offers moderately easy walking on upland terrain, with a few short climbs at the fourth and eighth holes. In general, the fairways are of a generous nature, but the golf course is deceptive and position off the tee is an important consideration.
Kingussie Golf Club's signature hole is No. 4. Although only 475 yards long, the par-5 hole is deceptively difficult. It is the only par-5 hole on the 18-hole course, which measures 5,615 yards from the white tees. Par is 68.

Best value for money course in the area !!!!!
Very enjoyable course ; some great holes , the 2 par 3’s over the stream are idyllic; the price point is fantastic value for money if your in the area this should be a must !!!!
A Wee club, with a massive Heart....
Had to change my tee time, it wasn't an issue at all...so we rocked up at the new time.....it was a damp miserable day when I played but the gentleman in the pro shop couldn't have been more helpful.
I made a few souvenir purchases for friends, including 3 really nice shirts at a very reasonable price, unlike most places!
I then had a quick swing, putt and was away, some really brilliant par 3s. Each one was very different from the last or any others, twice they come back to back ...not often you have a downhill par 3 over a gorge, road, river and it's only 90yards!.
Tough in the conditions of high winds and torrents of rain we played in....stunning course scenery doesn't do it justice it blew us away of the 150 plus courses that I've played this one felt like one of the most magical yet! Even the rain did not stop us viewing and commenting how beautiful it was many times!
Despite the condition out there the course held up really well, allowed some run and the greens were magnificent and true....
Afterwards we warmed back up, next to the fire indoors, was served by a lovely lady who makes a mean cup of coffee. Chatted to some locals and the gentleman from the pro shop again....
Unbelievable price to join this course, of only I was a local...it's a no brainer, nothing was too much trouble.....thanks masses to all at Kingussie.
Love Kingussie
Kingussie is one of my favourite courses. It is set in beautiful countryside with amazing views. The condition of the course was excellent. There was a heavy due on the ground and the first few greens were very wet but the green staff were soon out swishing them. It is a challenging course with some holes a bit hilly but we’ll be back.
Beautiful highland golf
Fist time playing here after spending many a holiday up in this area. Cannot believe I haven’t played Kingussie before!
Super friendly welcome from the starter.
Great atmosphere out on the course with everyone seemingly enjoying the course as much as we were.
Unbelievably scenic holes with elevated tees on many holes.
Excellent condition, greens had been spiked but still played relatively true.
Great value for money.
Thank you Kingussie, I will be back
Wee gem
Always nice playing Kingussie. Unfortunately they started to core the greens on the day we played which I thought was a bit early, and subsequently putted on the majority of greens being cored. They halved green fees too, but I'd already booked, so they couldn't do anything about it. Hey ho! Great course though, might wait a bit longer before booking next year.
Stunning course
Stunning course in the heart of the cairngorm mountains complete with low flying fighter jets. The scenery here is beautiful and the fairways and greens are a credit to the greenkeepers
Fantastic course
Played here for the first time with my son. Absolutely loved for course. It had some excellent holes and the views were outstanding. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to play again.
Fantastic course
Great course in fantastic condition with spectacular views. Staff were very friendly and clubhouse prices were very fair
Cracking wee course
4 of us played on one of the warmest days of the year. The course was in beautiful condition. The holes weren’t too long and with the course being quiet, pace of play was excellent. Any golfers passing Kingussie really should consider stopping and playing. You won’t be disappointed. The views are spectacular. If I’m in the area again, I’d definitely play it again!
Kingussie
Brilliant course, brilliant weather, brilliant views. If you are in the area, a MUST play!!!!!!
good course
A good course well worth a visit , a bit hilly but Buggies available if needed
Kingussie Golf Course
Great variety of holes. Overall greens in good condition although some had bear patches.
Bunkers good condition
Tees and fairways good.
Not as good as last time !
As we had played the course twice last year we fancied a game there again. There had been some heavy rain in the morning but the forecast was correct and the sun came out for our midday tee off. The course is quite challenging for walking and also playing , with some good holes .... but despite playing well from tee to green no putts where holed unfortunately due to the greens being in poor condition (they needed cutting , and rolling and were very patchy ) and a true roll of the ball was out of the question. The course was first class last year but maybe the greens were poor because of the warm weather not arriving as yet in the Highlands !
Fantastic condition.
Played this course a number of years ago & again on 6th Spey 2021. The course condition was superb, tees good to play off, fairways lush, & greens in excellent condition - a massive congratulations to the greens staff. The course itself is a good challenge for all standards of golf with a number of risk & reward holes that can punish but reward in equal measure.
Great course
Great condition, great course, fun but challenging.
