Elmwood Golf Club
About
Elmwood Golf Club sprawls across some of the most beautiful countryside in Fife, offering scenic views of Tarvit Hill and the Lomond Hills. Visitors are always welcome at this pay-and-play facility, which is owned and managed by Elmwood College. The golf course put into effect a successful environmental strategy that has resulted in a sizeable increase in wildlife and wildflowers. More than 9,000 trees were planted prior to construction of the course and there is minimal, if any, use of pesticides. The sound environmental and maintenance systems in combination with the dry, free-draining site ensure that the golf course is playable year-round. The layout has a nice variety of holes including lengthy par 5s, tricky par 3s, and par 4s that offer birdie opportunities. Elmwood Golf Club also offers an expansive driving range with both indoor and outdoor bays.

great value
course in perfect condition for time of year, greens and tee boxes perfect, great value for money
Unfortunately Winter Greens
Golf in February always brings a degree of playing on winter greens. With the recent snow/rain the underfoot conditions were muddy. There was only one actual green all the rest on winter greens. The weather was cold but the area looked superb. Layout a bit confusing. Clubhouse very good and food reasonably priced. Must try it in the summer. Enjoyable.
This a nice course
I played on 13thjan2018 and enjoyed my time on course only thing was having to play off mats however it was a good experience
good greens
A fine well maintained parkland golf course in scenic surroundings. The greens I especially thought were in great condition, true and not too fast, and a good read was often well rewarded! Fairways are generous, but some were a bit heavy underfoot due to the incessant late summer rain.
A lovely course
We came for the third time, enjoyed it again just as much.
There was a warm welcome, we got round in good time without rushing an being rushed.
We will return again and again.
Very nice course
Enjoyed our round at Elmwood. Course in good condition but greens had recently been spiked so not the best time to judge quality. Varied holes and layout kept things interesting. Lovely clubhouse with good food. Will come back again.
Winter greens
Played this course yesterday and had to play at least 10/11 holes with winter greens due to on-going work. Had we known this pre booking we would not have played.
Good condition but the rough
Only complaint about the course was the rough. It's a lost ball scenario in most cases. This affects pace of play and not sure that rough is supposed to be such a harsh penalty especially if not far off the fairway. Rest of course in good nick when we played though
Fair test of golf.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Fair test of golf. Most holes appear fairly straightforward from the tee however the long rye grass and narrow second means finding the fairway is essential for a respectable score. True greens and in very good condition, will definitely play again.
highly recommended
good layout, usually not busy, perfect greens, wide enough fairways.
Enjoyable Elmwood
The course was in good condition for time of year. Greens were a bit bumpy but that was expected for time of year, not very long but course defence is the well placed bunkering requiring accurate iron and wedges . Very welcoming staff and lovely clubhouse to sit and have a lunch or soft drink if travelling. Will play again soon.
Excellent
Got a great deal for this course at a low price too. First time I've played here and it will defiantly not be my last. Staff really friendly offered me a earlier tee off time on arrival so didn't have the chance to use the putting area but it looked to be in a good condition. Course itself was in tip top condition a few G.U.R but I guess that is normal this time of year. Food smelt good on the way back in on the 18th hole. It's a 10 out of 10 for me.

Great value for money. Beautiful looking course. Some short par 4s make it exciting but there are a few long ones in there also with a few blind tee shots. Highly recommended for all levels
great day at elmwood

We played here for the first time and thought the course was in fabulous condition. Girl in pro shop was very friendly and welcoming.
Look forward to playing again soon.
