Elmwood Golf Club
About
Elmwood Golf Club sprawls across some of the most beautiful countryside in Fife, offering scenic views of Tarvit Hill and the Lomond Hills. Visitors are always welcome at this pay-and-play facility, which is owned and managed by Elmwood College. The golf course put into effect a successful environmental strategy that has resulted in a sizeable increase in wildlife and wildflowers. More than 9,000 trees were planted prior to construction of the course and there is minimal, if any, use of pesticides. The sound environmental and maintenance systems in combination with the dry, free-draining site ensure that the golf course is playable year-round. The layout has a nice variety of holes including lengthy par 5s, tricky par 3s, and par 4s that offer birdie opportunities. Elmwood Golf Club also offers an expansive driving range with both indoor and outdoor bays.

Great course to play
Enjoyed this course lots of challenges to keep you focused hope to play again next year
Relaxed
Course was in good condition. Not difficult and quite open although if shots were really wild you would be well punished. Quite a short course that would be ideal for a golf outing.
Wide fairways and large greens.
We played the course in a howling wind. Great when it was behind you but fearsome playing in to it. We enjoyed the open layout, greens were difficult to hold in the wind but fairways and greens were in great condition. Great value for money. Would play again.
Execellent greens
The course was in top condition, greens in great condition. Course allows you to open your shoulders with very forgiving fairways. Be great for a society and the higher end handicaps. Overall would play it again for sure, a shame the practice/ driving facilities was shut due to CV19. Defiantly value for money
Lovely course
Lovely wide open course in
great condition. Open fairways, lush greens. However there is quite a bit of walking between holes, and distance markers would be helpful.
Excellent
Excellent course, stood up well to heavy week of rain
Only issue is lackof distance markers
Well designed and maintained
Very decent relatively new course in excellent condition. Well looked after. Enjoyed it. 9th comes back to clubhouse which I like. Would play here again.
Decent course, good welcome.
Course in decent nick. Well designed and excellent for a buggy which we used. Good facilities but Covid restricted during our visit. A good challenge.
My golf
Thoroughly enjoyed this course, I would definitely play here again.
Good Value for money
I am a 17 Handicap and I found this course very open where I hit a lot of fairways. The greens had recently been cored when I played so not the best of conditions to putt on. There is a bit of walking between some of the holes but it is well sign posted to prevent you getting lost. Staff were very friendly and it was well worth the £15 I paid for the round.
Enjoyable round
Great value for the money. Course is nice and open and well payed out however there is a couple of holes there is a bit of a walk between the holes. Greens were a bit slow however looked as if they had not long been recored so will likely be playing very well soon. Lots of Par and Birdie opportunities however also a few holes that will challenge the best of golfers.
Really well kept course
As you'd expect for somewhere that's training greenkeepers of the future, the course was in very good condition. A ball on a fairway = a perfect lie. Greens were slowish, but consistent and true. I brought 4 Aussies who were donating their kidneys so they could be fleeced at places like Kingsbarn & Muirfield. They paid less for this round than the fish and chips after the round. Back 9 slightly more'shaped' than front 9, but course will mature nicely.
Oh, and I shot 7 under my handicap so naturally I loved it!
Early season game
Played course early in the season greens were pretty fast.worth a visit
excellent course and facilities highly recommended
Good value for money pleasant course
A reasonable course not that difficult as there is little or no rough. We had to play on 14 winter greens but still enjoyed our round. A 2 ball we were round in 3 hours. This is golf how it should be played. My wife is off 27 & I’m off 11.
We had an excellent lunch after our round & staff were very welcoming & friendly.
elmwood gc
