Elmwood Golf Club sprawls across some of the most beautiful countryside in Fife, offering scenic views of Tarvit Hill and the Lomond Hills. Visitors are always welcome at this pay-and-play facility, which is owned and managed by Elmwood College. The golf course put into effect a successful environmental strategy that has resulted in a sizeable increase in wildlife and wildflowers. More than 9,000 trees were planted prior to construction of the course and there is minimal, if any, use of pesticides. The sound environmental and maintenance systems in combination with the dry, free-draining site ensure that the golf course is playable year-round. The layout has a nice variety of holes including lengthy par 5s, tricky par 3s, and par 4s that offer birdie opportunities. Elmwood Golf Club also offers an expansive driving range with both indoor and outdoor bays.

Nice but not as i remembered it

Used to advocate the course, hadnt played in for maybe 15 years. New routing doesnt feel like it makes sense.

Still nice course but not as good as it used to be, greens had been sanded so werent quick but still pretty true.

Elmwood Golf Course

The course is difficult to find but once we arrived the staff could not be friendlier. Once on the course I was disappointed with the condition of the course. Tee boxes were bare, fairways were covered in weeds, greens were extremely slow and paths between holes were in a state of disrepair. All this did not help with the pace of play and we ended up standing around at tee boxes for around an hour combined. All this considered I think it did not represent good value for money and therefore would not recommend to friends.

Disappointing

We had not played Elmwood for a number of years and so decided to try.Very disappointed in the course found the layout boring and the pace of the golf very slow. There are much better courses in the St Andrews area which are much better value for money that you can book on golf now..

Disappointed

All the greens had been cored and were littered with some of the debris which made it difficult to chip and putt. Had we known before we would not have gone there.

Short but fun

The course was in good condition and had some interesting holes. A lot of the holes are rather short tho but still good fun to play (I did play off the yellow tees might be different of the whites).

Fantastic course

Elmwood must be one of the best parkland courses in Fife. Great selection of holes and the conditions and upkeep of the course is second to none.

Unfortunately I started well and after 2 holes caught up with 2 sets of 4 very elderly gentle men. It took almost an hour for me to reach the 4th hole!!
By the 6th I decided that enough was enough and jumped over to the 9th as they were completely ignoring me standing waiting on the tees and fairways even though they continually engaged in chatting or search for multiple lost balls.
I met another member and he told me they were famous for not letting anyone interfere with their golf.
I will.not be back if they are allowed to act this way.
Spoilt my day.
