Auchterarder Golf Club

Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course.
Very easy walk with a good mix of holes.

Auchterarder is a lovely course which I have played before. But, I am less than impressed that neither Golf Now nor the club's website alerted me to the fact that 4 of the holes were using winter greens. I wasn't playing my home course for that reason, so I do feel duped that Auchterarder took my money (not cheap at this time of year) on false pretences.

I love Auchterarder - it's a fun course with a good variety of holes and, generally, well presented. I have to say I was disappointed on this occasion that, despite checking both GolfNow and the Auchterarder website, I only discovered that 4 of the holes were on winter greens after booking for £28. I would not have booked had that information been available and I think both Golf Now and the club (indeed all clubs) should do more, in this day and age, to advise when normal playing conditions are not in place.

So impressed with this course. Challenging holes, great fairways, greens a bit soft but recently been hollowtined so can’t expect anything else. Great meal after the round too

Booking straight forward and club pro expected our three ball. Arrived early for warm up and some coffee and rolls at very reasonable prices from pleasant staff. The course has handled the weather well with plenty of staff out on the course keeping busy, the greens maintenance was apparent from a couple of weeks ago with the tined holes still requiring another couple of rolls but the ball ran ok, I’m sure they play well on normal playing times. The course itself was in good condition and had a good feel to it, leaves were cleared with only the tree areas evident of autumn debris. Fairways were pretty decent after some serious weekend rain fall and all tee boxes were tidy and on! I suppose playing well on the day and collecting a couple of old scalps from Shug and John helped with my overall views and chirpiness leaving the 18th, but all in all an enjoyable visit and a course I will return to.

really enjoyed the track. Some interesting holes but also a challenge. Even though greens had been cored and some sanded still didn’t,t de tracked from the enjoyment too much.

Great little track , lots of quirky holes .
Some really awkward pin positions on the day we play.( completion before us) .

First time I had played Auchterarder for over 20 years having been a former junior member before that. The course was in great condition considering the weather and had matured since our last visit making holes more interesting. Loved the course and would come again

The course was in superb condition and is a hidden gem close to the more well-known Gleneagles Hotel and Golf resort. Certainly worth playing and the staff could not be any more helpful and pleasant with an excellent choice of food at a very reasonable price. Although nothing to do with Auchterarder GC I fail to understand why Golf Now do not allow a cancellation under any circumstances even inclement weather. After paying your money it is down to you to negotiate with the Golf Club for another date and it is unclear whether or not they are required to honour the booking.

Was a slow round today but all the more time to take in such a good course with stunning views too.

Greens were in great condition and very challenging. Really enjoyed the trip and wil definitely be back.
