Pitlochry Golf Club
About
A course once described as the place where 'Golf, beauty and the social life, go hand in hand' . In the warm summer months when the skies are clear it has some of the most uplifting views to be found anywhere in the world. Although not one of this fair country's longest courses, if a golfer achieves a score under par here, he or she will have played exceptionally well. With the winding fairways climbing up the hillside, across the gorges and valleys, before leading back down to the club house and finishing over the meandering burn, you will know that you have played over a good golfing challenge.

Nice Wee Course !!
This review is in response to the anonymous review left below ...
Thank you for your review and kind words regarding our golf course and facility.
In response to your feedback regarding myself, I'm rather puzzled as to your rather negative opinion.
I have absolutely no idea why you have come to this conclusion.
I would really appreciate it if you could call / email / visit me as soon as possible and explain in more detail why you feel so aggrieved.
I look forward to hearing from you
Kind regards
Gary
Fellow golfers, as you can see we are the 3rd highest ranked golf course in Perthshire, with a 97.5% positive rating.
Please do not let this unjustified negativity put you off playing the most scenic and friendly courses in Scotland.

Nice wee course - pro not a people person ( Gary )
The course is in a area with tremendous scenery and its a very fun course to play now and then. its very hilly so if you don't like hills avoid. the condition was beautiful greenskeepers done a great job. the lay out is a bit all over the place to be honest and fairways close to each other and having to wait a long time as its a slow round as lots of senior golfers here.
but well worth a few rounds.
the pro Gary however as mentioned in some other reviews too is a liability to the course and abrupt, lacks the traditional Scottish hospitality and doesn't listen to customers which is a shame as the pro when I visited a few years ago was super friendly.
Perfect day
Paired with strangers Malcolm & Anne which turned out to be great, we had a really good laugh on the course and in the bar afterwards.
Course was in really good condition, greens very impressive and wide fairways encouraged good ball striking.
Bar staff and pro were extremely affable
All round great experience and would love to return again soon
Excellent round.
Course in excellent condition. Fairly simple to see layout of each hole. Very enjoyable day.
Fantastic course one of the best I've played
Fantastic course one of the best I've played.
Views are magnificent for if you're golf game isn't going well. Course was immaculate and very well maintained.
First time there and will definitely be back.course great and all the staff are very welcoming
Great condition
Really nice course in great condition, Especially the greens. Shame the clubhouse wasn’t doing hot meals at the time of visit, as the seating area outside looked great. Will visit again.
Best greens I've ever seen
Great fair test, you got to love hills and blind traditional golf.
Character course
This is a challenging course for first time players.of the course.
It has three uphill holes initially then obviously some down hill holes too later.
A lot of shots are played on sideway lies.
The course was very quiet which indicates that it is priced too high for visitors.
Great day out
Super friendly club, would strongly recommend a buggy as the course is hilly, the course is in great condition and is a joy to play
Great course. Unfriendly pro
Course is amazing. Favourite course- it is so
much fun. . Just a pitty about the unwelcoming and rude Pro Gary Casey. Would have bought stuff from shop but pro not a people person
Pitlochry GC
Some fantastic views, fairways and greens in remarkable condition for time of year.
Very physically demanding course, consider hiring a buggy.
Green fees are Silly
Played for the third time now : and love the course ; as a visitor I just don’t understand the green fees up to £60 somedays which is just is far to much ; unless you grab a hot deal this is now unfortunately a overpriced course which is a shame ; as it’s a gem .
Really ??
4 of you turn up for a "Hot Deal"
Only 3 have paid !! The 4th is looking for a rate that doesn't exist - I suggest you book the 4th "Hot Deal" spot for the tee time to save you money !!
Unwelcoming & rude Pro ??
Nice one
PS - "pity" has only one t

Gary Casey
