Peebles Golf Club
About
HS Colt designed course with good quality turf, greens and the stunning views. It is a prime example of a challenging Scottish upland golf course described as 'not totally flat'.
Peebles is an upland golf course of great character. The air is clean and the surrounding hills provide something of a micro-climate. Of course it sometimes rains and in spring and autumn there are occasional windy days but we get many days of glorious summer sunshine. Bring a sweater and your rain-gear just in case. It is all part of the challenge of golfing in Scotland.
The golf course is not totally flat but the slopes are not unduly demanding. Motorised buggies are available (3 only). Contact the Professional to hire one.
The club has a new clubhouse, opened in 1998 by H.R.H. Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Showers, a comfortable bar, lounge and restaurant await you after your round. The members and staff will offer you a warm welcome.

October golf
On arrival we were greeted by starter who was very friendy, nformative and accomodating and made us feel welcome. The weather held out so we enjoyed a rain free day. First impressions was that the course was very well set out and greens were excellent for this time of year. Some challenging holes and macnificent views all around this course. Would recommend a visit to this course for an enjoyable stress free day out with friends
Peebles Golf Club
Had never played the course before. Golf now booking easy. Good tee time available. Relatively easy to find.
Very friendly staff. Well stocked Pro shop. Course was quiet when I tee's off.
Not too demanding except for the hills. Teally enjoyed it and would recommend to anyone.
Lovely setting
Really enjoyable course to play given the lovely setting. Course in good condition with nice greens. 1st time here but definitely on the return visit list.
Lads away

Fantastic Days with gorgeous views
There were 4 of us up for the weekend and done 3 courses . Peebles Cardrona and Minto
By far as much as I liked Minto Peebles was excellent
Ps Steak Pie to die for too
VFM and very hospitabal
On a three day golf break previous day at Cardona which was a little disappointing . So to go to Peebles really lifted everyones day ! Staff and food were exceptional
Great course.
Second time I've come down to play this course in a year. It was lucky it was championship Weekend. The condition was really good. Few scorch marks on the back 9 greens, but still. In good condition. It was half the price of the cardrona just down the road and was in far superior condition. Would highly recommend, and I will be back again for sure.
Beautiful course with perfect scenery.
If we lived here we would want to be members here.
We had it explained at another golf club that this golf now system takes the money for the first four four-balls every day and it's only if more than 4 x 4 balls book that the course sees any fees.
A enjoyable course with friendly staff.
An enjoyable round of golf. Friendly staff and facilities added to a great day.
Okay
I played Peebles with my 13-year old son shortly after heavy rain had fallen in the area, so understandably the course was very wet and muddy. Peebles is a pleasant parkland course laid out on the beautiful hills above Peebles town. For us the course does not have many memorable holes but does provide a fair test of golf. I would suggest it's a course that would become more enjoyable after you've played it a few times and memorised the layout. As the pro told us before teeing off "don't go left", that's good advice. The greens were hollow tined so understandably not great to putt on and the greens staff were carrying out a scarifying type process on some fairways. In all Peebles, was okay, it would be interesting to play it 'in season' to see how it plays.
Welcoming Course
Enjoyed our round although wet underfoot due to the wet weather lately, but on the day the weather was perfect
Great course, friendly folk and lovely food
Well worth a visit if you are looking for the full package of a well maintained but not too challenging golf course plus warm hospitality. The views of Peebles from some of the holes are breathtaking.
Lovely views
Always enjoy Peebles, good lay out with diverse holes
Beautiful surroundings and views.
Course well maintained
Had a slowish round ,group in front invited us to go thro but as one of us had a minor injury we preferred to take things leisurely as there were no groups behind.
Didn't go into clubhouse this time
Stuck in the Ladies Comp
Played the course on a Monday morning i think when the seniors comp was on, got to the tee on time but being that time of year the green keeping staff were intent on giving the green a good going over whilst i was waiting. In the mean time 6 or so members decide to walk up immediately behind me and look disapprovingly at the time. Prior to this the young lad in the club shop did suggest i could jump to 10 if it got busy on the tee. Green staff still doing work and 10 minutes behind and still not teed off so off i toddle to 10. Didnt wanna upset the members.
ruined 10 and 11 still frustrated, calmed myself, had a brew starting playing and hit a couple of pars, Birdie chances started coming, Fairways in nice nic considering it was march, Greens had been treated for winter so no new growth yet. very sandy and no putts ran true but overall you can tell it was well looked after. So i finish 18 and get to the first, Lo & behold im slap bang in the middle of a ladies comp, back to being frustrated again (never good for golf) few choice words said but they eventually let me in front of a group of 2 which one of the ladies says "you better not slow us down" i smile and gratefully tee off biting my lip. played the first 9 really, nice layout, get your drives away should get a decent chance of hitting the par 4 greens in 2. I enjoyed it when i wasnt Rushed, so think it is a popular & Busy Course. Nice view of the village.
Great
Great course really enjoyed it , great scenery in this lovely part of country , set in hills but not a tiring course . Lot of rain had fell the day before but course held up well . Only down side was greens had been spiked that affected a decent putting surface but that to be expected this time of year ! Would definetly go back
Stunning views
Very nice course a bit up and downhill but lovely views
