Peebles Golf Club
About
HS Colt designed course with good quality turf, greens and the stunning views. It is a prime example of a challenging Scottish upland golf course described as 'not totally flat'.
Peebles is an upland golf course of great character. The air is clean and the surrounding hills provide something of a micro-climate. Of course it sometimes rains and in spring and autumn there are occasional windy days but we get many days of glorious summer sunshine. Bring a sweater and your rain-gear just in case. It is all part of the challenge of golfing in Scotland.
The golf course is not totally flat but the slopes are not unduly demanding. Motorised buggies are available (3 only). Contact the Professional to hire one.
The club has a new clubhouse, opened in 1998 by H.R.H. Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Showers, a comfortable bar, lounge and restaurant await you after your round. The members and staff will offer you a warm welcome.

Fantastic day out.
Me and the boys normally play the south Lanarkshire municipal courses so this was quite a step up. Course has everything from red hot greens, tight fairways and daunting bunkers. Thoroughly enjoyed it and At just over an away we will most certainly be back.
First time but not the last time
just played Peebles golf club tonight for the first time. What a fantastic course, what a test of golf, the undulations on the greens were a challenge, every hole a test of golf. Not a negative word to say. Will definitely be back.
Great Scottish Borders Course
Lovely course and really great team at the Golf Club. The Pro was helpful and friendly. The bar steward explained the local brews and the other staff we happy to see us :)
Typical Scottish weather?
Unfortunately for us we were looking forward to play the fore mentioned course Peebles golf club in the Scottish Borders and the overnight weather was below freezing. The green keepers had 18 winter greens on so we never had the opportunity to play the course?? We would like to revisit and hopefully golf now could possibly arrange. The clubhouse has a good set up and hopefully when things get back to normal food and drinks would be readily available.
My best round 83
Course was in great condition, weather had been thundery and heavy rain the previous day but we were really fortunate to have dry day . Even managed a few birdies which makes up for the two or three treble bogies , the beauty of golf is we always want to improve on our scores and although we hit a really good chip or drive I see it like a bit of fortune or lady luck . Keep up the good work team .
Great day out
First time playing the course. Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Maybe slightly faster greens would make it truly fantastic.
Short Course but demanding
Great layout with demanding shots and putts but potential to score well
Great Day Out
Course in great condition considering it was November. Great course and looking forward to seeing it at its very best in the Summer.
Would thoroughly recommend.
Nice course
Unfortunately for us they were doing greens maintenance whilst we were there but they have to do it at some point.
The course has some really good holes and we enjoyed the day. Definitely worth a visit

Superb experience for my partner and myself. From the very courteous pro to the lovely three friendly and welcoming gents who found and returned my pitching wedge at tbe 3rd hole.. Would certainly recommend this course for anyone to play., even for just the views
Excellent 18 hole course
Facilities superb and course in excellent condition. Pretty undulating which may mean buggy should be considered for some, but would definitely play here again.
Great course with amazing views
A wonderful early morning round. Course in excellent condition and greens were superb. Lovely variety of holes with amazing views at almost every turn. Staff and locals very friendly and excellent pro shop and restaurant facilities. Haggis and egg roll went down a treat. Will certainly return
Great setting
Second time playing this course in a week. Look forward to playing it in the summer.
There are many forgiving holes which was good for someone new to the course.
There are a few great par 5’s with stunning views of the surrounding hills.
A gem of a course.
Great condition
The range was good, the course was great and the greens rolled true…what more could one want??
Good challenge in beautiful scenery
Wet,cold and playing longer than expected. Would be a lovely walk in the summer with views to inspire your game.
