Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort - New Course
About
Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort (formerly known as The Osprey Course at Piperdam) is so named because during the summer months, Ospreys nest at the loch that the course surrounds. The event has become such an attraction that the Piperdam Osprey Centre, an observation facility for visitors, was built. The course has a parkland style layout with water hazards and out-of-bounds stakes. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of the course with the par-3 first hole, which requires a careful tee shot over water in order to reach the green. In addition to the scenic course, Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort offers a 12-bay driving range as well as boat and bank fishing on the loch.

Good layout and selection of tees
Course was in good condition and the greens were smooth and running well
A course with a view
Good test of golf , thinking clubs off tee for position
Loads of water and first hole plays with your mind if you are not warmed up … 120 yds over a Loch with wind blowing against you
Real coffee in pro shop to take round with you , excellent local roaster !
Really enjoyed it and will go back !
Piperdam
First time playing it. First hole a cracker over the water par 3 a couple very similar, a shame it’s a little unloved and they lost their irrigation system over a year ago which would effect any course in this dry weather, greens a bit patchy in areas but actually running pretty true. All in all the potential is there just needs a little tlc here and there, however IMO the little par 3 was in better condition.
Decent value on golf now at £19 however not sure if the full green fee of £40 is worth it. A deal with
Enjoyable but too slow
Glorious day, glorious course, but stuck behind an ignorant four-ball resulting in a huge log jam on the back nine
average course
Bit disappointed to be honest... tees were a bit of a mess . Greens OK. no next tee indications so as a first time player we went the wrong way a few times... course was quiet and is a good challenge.. some work on tees and greens wouldn't go amiss to elevate this course
Great course to suit all abilities
Lovely course. Quite short off the Yellows and Reds. Wide open fairways quite forgiving for straight hitters and easy to score well. Some very picturesque and interesting holes playing around and over water. Greens large, in good condition and true. Well kept bunkers. All round a great find and would definitely play this course again. Hcp - me 20 and partner 15
Great selection of different holes
First time playing it and will definitely be back, fantastic value for money, read some reviews about it was in poor condition before we went on Facebook but we certainly didn't find that, greens I suppose could have been a little faster but certainly didn't effect our game or our day out
Thoroughly enjoyed my round
The staff were very helpful and friendly both in the pro shop and the restaurant. I had a lovely and relaxed afternoon’s golf rounded off with a lovely meal.
Perfect!
Pleasant round
Picked up a late deal when Dumbarnie was closed at short notice. A very good experience - good mix of holes, course in good condition for early May and staff in Pro shop very friendly.
Only about 10 people on course all afternoon - deserves to be busier.
Definitely be back
As titled definitely be back, fairways considering time of year in really good condition, winter greens at the moment making some of the holes perhaps a little too short, however given it is January and the fees are reasonable then it’s not a bad shout for a relatively easy stretch of the legs - look forward to playing again in the summer months on full greens.
Wet but enjoyable
Very nice course. Despite the heavy rain in the days prior to playing, it remained still very playable. Course maintained in good condition..
