A test of golf

This course has some really nice holes and senic views. Friendly members that we had some good banter, with all greens running fairly true but were showing a hard winter that has effected good growth ,generous fairways with fair semi rough. Some intimidating tee shots that make you concentrate to ensure you strike your shot well. Overall a really nice course that I would recommend you play.

Tip Top

Thoroughly enjoyable round at Milngavie. Full marks to the greenkeeping staff who obviously work very hard to keep this course in amazing shape.

Beautiful scenery, flat tees, watered greens and closely mown fairways. There are no par 5s here but plenty of testing par 4s and some delightful par 3s.

Well worth a visit

Great course, nice challenge

Lovely well maintained course with a nice mix of challenging and friendly holes. Greens were fast and in good condition.
A long course with no par 5s from the yellows.
I will definitely play again .

Excellent Course with Enough Challenge

This is an excellent course, well maintained and with enough challenge to make the round interesting. The members we met were friendly and interested to chat to us about our round. We’re on holiday in Scotland and this is the second time we’ve played at this course. It wonder the last!

Nice course. Greens in bad shape.

First time playing and really liked the design and lay out of the course. The holes offer great variety and challenge both off the tee and in approach to greens. The greens however were in poor condition. Quite bare and bumpy and a big variation of speed on each one which made putting a bit of a lottery. The course was also very busy with a lot of 4 balls and given the number of par 3's, it resulted in a lot of back log on tees. We played the last 4 holes joining up with another pairing just to try and speed up play. Addressing these issues would make the round at Milngavie 4 or 5 stars.

Milngavie Golf Club

Well maintained course in the countryside with lovely views back over Glasgow. Received a warm welcome from one of the members. For visitors, a few more signs on the entrance road would help.

Lovely Golf Course

Great course with a really nice layout, though challenging, very fair and a good contest for high or low handicap players. Greens mainly in good condition and playing fast! Really enjoyed our round at Milngavie and will definitely be back.
