Gullane Golf Club - No. 2
About
The No. 2 course at Gullane Golf Club was constructed in 1898. Now, the first and 18th holes sit east of A198. The first seven holes parallel Gullane No. 1, and then the action shoots toward the natural reserve adjacent to the Aberlady Bay, then turns back toward the Visitors' Clubhouse.
Gullane No. 2 offers great short holes, especially the 11th, with its fantastic view and strategic club selection. Make no mistake, though: the long holes are long. The sixth hole is a 498-yard par-5, and the 16th is a 527-yard par-5.
The golf course hosted the 1980 final qualifying for the Open Championship and the 2000 Seniors Open Amateur Championship.

Good Course - Stay out the rough
Nice course with great views, although weather not the best when we played.
Rough very punishing and hard to find ball if you stray into the rough
Natural golf course
Played this in family challenge nothing like anything my son’s had played in past .
Keep it low and it will go .
I enjoyed but son’s found the greens hard to read.
That’s me the father leading 2 -0-0 in the race for family green jacket.

Proper Golf
This is how golf should be played. Wind, quirky undulations, lots of sand and fantastic greens. Not a long course so I took decision to leave the driver in the bag and hitting straight makes all the difference. Highly recommend this course. Members also very friendly and you can even take your well behaved dog.
Fantastic course and good value.
Great layout. Excellent practice areas and good value for money.
Pure links golf in a 30mph crosswind
Starter was very friendly and course was in great condition. The rough is brutal and with a 30mph crosswind, was difficult to avoid.
A true links golf experience.
Great layout and conditions
Had a great day at Gullane 2, it never disappoints, even in current climate with various restrictions. Staff were friendly and the course was in great condition, greens all reading very true. Played in a 2 ball and got round in 3 hours which is very decent. Will def be back !
Excellent course in superb condition, well worth the money and the green keepers and staff are superb. Definitely be back.
Excellent links golf experience
Overall a beautiful golf course which has excellent views and a good variety of holes. Not too long so suitable for all handicap levels. Pace of play has been excellent every time I have played and is a nice relaxing round and of golf. Tricky bunkers and hitting straight is a must. Worth a visit even for the extra money. Lovely part of the world I must say
What a stunning course!!!
What a fantastic course I played today. Most holes run alongside the Firth of Forth and you can see the Forth Bridge at a distance, that takes you towards St Andrews. The course is full of wild life, including deer!
Took me a while to get my head round playing on my own, as I love to compete against someone. Eventually realised that the course itself is good enough competition and then I started to improve my club & shot selection. This was course no.2 of 3courses here. It’s just as stunning as no.1, although no.1 was £190 to play today, whereas I got no.2 at £48 (booked on GolfNow) and just enough a good test. Staff here are so welcoming too. Would play this course again in a heartbeat!
Excellent value
Played at twilight very good value, course was quiet, bit of a climb up the 3rd but lots of good holes and incredible views of Edinburgh, the Forth, over to Fife and surrounding area.
Try It You'll Like It
If you can't get on to Gullane #1 then #2 is just a fun. Some might say more... It's a junior version, same feel, same look, same everything except it's No.2 not No.1 so some people turn away. I like it because I always score well there, so maybe it's a bit easier than #1. Lots of elevation change, generous fairways, doglegs both ways, uphill shots, downhill shots, lots of greenside bunkers. What's not to like!
