Great location - great vistas - lovely holes

Fantastic views, particularly as from hole 7 onwards. Great variety of holes. All-round a brilliant course and a MUST play one. A bargain at £ 45.00. Amazing value!

Slow play and poor greens

Unfortunately our four ball were stuck behind a three ball after hole three and all the way until the 18th waiting on every tee and most approach shots! The slow play was not checked at anytime during our round. A little frustrating but just manageable.

The course layout and facilities etc are excellent however upon arrival we were informed that some work had taken place on the greens a few weeks ago, the greens were very poor and spoiled it a bit for our group. It would have been good to know this prior to booking as the value for money took a bit of a dent because of this hence my rating!

Not fit

Having been shown the greens, decided the Kittocks was not fit to play so opted to play Torrance instead. That was OK but greens very slow. General air of tattiness about.

Fairmont - Kittocks

In a nutshell, Fantastic. Having played the Torrance 2 weeks earlier , I knew what to expect from the facilities, which are excellent , however I had a pre conceived idea it was not as good as the Torrance , I was wrong! The course is the best I have ever played. The condition is excellent , the greens were lush and brilliant. This is a links course and on the day the wind was with me , I can only imagine what it would be like on a typical Scottish day! This oozed class and if you play straight and play course management there is much rewards to be taken from this gem of a golf course. Unlike the Torrance , the Kittocks runs along the coastline, the views and setting are spectacular. It’s a long course, and you must avoid the rough at the sides of the fairway at your peril. This has the feel of a PGA golf course and is simply awesome, Highly recommend.

Incredible golf course

The course is 2nd to none! So many brilliant holes with world class views. We played a 4ball 2v2 losers buying beers and food afterward at the restaurant clubhouse. 4 pints of beer and a cheese/ meat platter to share (3bits of cheese, and a few slices of cured meat) was very tasty but at a cost of nearly £50 was a shocker! Lucky the course was so good that this was quickly forgotten. We are now looking to book the Torrance course ASAP, if this is even half as good as the kittocks we will have another great day.

Always worth a visit

As usual the course was in perfect condition. Staff was helpful and friendly. Views are spectacular. The only letdown were the missing red tees for the ladies. Clubhouse and restaurant closed early, happened before Corona so it always seems to be the case and means you won’t get a drink if you don’t tee off early.
