Quiet
It was a damp day. Lot of overnight rain, must have put people off. Very light rain/ mizzle no wind. Good conditions. Lovely course not too challenging
Day away
As usual on and of course excellent, a bit soft underfoot due to heavy rain days before but greens are good would definitely recommend
Tulliallan.
Good course, excellent greens, friendly staff and nice food. Would play again.
Corrugated course
Arrived early and was told the coffee shop was open, however numerous attempts to gain entry thru the locked buzzer door were fruitless.
Onto the course: very neat tee boxes and greens and nearly all the bunkers were freshly raked , meaning you could actually get your ball out, unlike other courses over the last 18 months.
First hole required some thought which is good: slight dog leg right with bunkers on the turn. But, apart from that , very little to think about. Straight holes everywhere - hit it hard and hit it hard again.
And it appeared that most fairways were corrugated with underground drainage _ weird.
Nicely presented course but no 'wow ' holes, or ones with options.
Good day out
Really liked Tulliallan golf course it has a good layout with some challenging holes and some less challenging if you hit your tee shots straight . The greens has been sanded so were a bit slow but overall good value for money.
Great features
Much improved drainage with clever and attractive use of water features on many holes.Greens in excellent condition. Groundstaff have obviously worked hard over the last year and deserve credit and thanks. A totally enjoyable day’s golf and would recommend the course wholeheartedly.
Ok But....
Greens had been cored and sanded early August therefore the greens were almost unplayable. We are just out of July and this is peak playing time! None of the other local courses have done this yet. We were not told of the green conditions and paid full price. I can see reviews from the same time last year saying the same thing. Disappointing! There are also some holes that have some extreme bumps due to added drainage. Some of the fairways look like a bmx track. Even the air line was broken. It is an ok course and the burn adds a bit to think about be neither me or my golfing partner will probably go back.
Nice course.
Very nice course that makes you think about the tee shot. Very tight fairways with a burn that runs through a few holes. Unfortunately the greens staff were coring the greens on what could have been the best day to play golf. This really messed up our day as we had to putt off fairways although I still played to my handicap shooting an 84. I’d like to go back and play on full greens and have a better plan for the blind holes.
Great fun
Lovely greens with good rewards if you can keep on fairways and avoid trees. Nice layout with holes generally not too long. Well maintained.
