Standout condition
This course has a fantastic layout, it is fun to play. The major standout about this course was the condition, what an amazing job from the immaculate tee boxes to the greens. The greens are excellent.
Overall well worth the money and very well enjoyed! The Golf Pro was really friendly and the clubhouse had a relaxed vibe. It was shut when I returned at 6.30 and the hotel seemed quiet no real emphasis on encouraging golfers to eat and have a drink.
Highly recommend this course.
Terrific greens
Windy day which made a challenging course even more so. Course was in very good condition with the greens in particular playing fast and true. Great value for money. Will be back!
Quality course
I've played before and knew what to expect, my 2 colleagues hadn't and they were blown away by the the quality of the course. A very enjoyable round had by all and the guys are keen to get back and play when possible
A beautiful sunny day to play and the course was as stunning as the weather. A great layout in fantastic condition.with some memorable holes. Punitive rough but fairways are wide enough that if you find trouble you deserve it ..! From start to finish a super golf experience at a very reasonable price and worth the drive.
Highly recommended- we will be back.
Big Resort course
Long walk in picturesque parkland on a very well maintained and excellent golf course.
Lots of interesting holes with testing greens.
Well worth a visit and will improve further when Hotel refurbishment is complete.
Roxburghe
Brilliant course !
Starts with a good par 4 and just keeps getting better and better.
Every hole is interesting and challenging with well placed bunkers and big undulating greens. Add on beautiful scenery and it adds up to one of the best courses I’ve ever played.
Current C19 restrictions so club house was closed but you can still buy snacks and drinks to have outside.
Member of staff who greeted us was really nice and explained everything we needed to know.
Superb condition
1st time playing here course was in immaculate condition especially for this time of year have played a few quality courses and this is aa good as them, greens were excellent especially for winter and bunkers were lovely all in all an exceptional coure
Unfortunately I did not enjoy my time here at Roxburghe, although the course, scenes and facilities were great, the pace of place around this course was painful, I seen a group tee off whilst I was on their putting green, which was an hour before my tee time, and no one else followed, I was happy about this as it was my first time playing and thought I’d have a great round going at my own pace without anyone in front or behind, this was short lived, I caught said group at the 5th hole, and didn’t allow me through until teeing off at the 10th! I almost walked off at the 9th, thankfully the club has benches on near enough every tee box, because I was waiting around that long, so as I finally got past this group and approaching close to 3hours to do 10 holes, 2 holes later I again got caught behind a 3 ball and again took a seat in wait, at this stage on my round I was fed up of waiting and was cautious of time as I had an hours drive back to where I was staying, and decided to walk off the course, something I have never ever done in all my years playing golf, so for the £30 I paid for this track was really not worth the money or the drive, maybe the basic etiquette of golf doesn’t apply at this club? Either way I won’t be putting this on the list of courses for a return visit, I dread to think what it’s like on a nice sunny day, you’d be best taking a picnic basket and camping chairs rather than your golf clubs, shame really as it was a fairly challenging track with some nice holes, just unfortunately not worth paying it a visit for the time you wait at each tee.
Enjoyed our game
My wife and I played this course and we enjoyed the course. We were surprised how quite it was. Course in good condition and staff were very helpful
Roger and Rosie's golf day.
The course is a must play, condition of course is fantastic and the staff friendly and helpfull.
The best course in the Border's
Played this course with my wife, course was quiet so pace was good. Condition of course was wonderful green's although recovering from maitenance were putting really good. Nice wind to make it a true test, can't say enough about this course, i try to play it at least once a year if not more as it's a good distance away. Staff could not have been more helpful so a plus there as well, will return.
Challenge duly met
A challenging parkland type course with tee choices to suit all. Breathtaking "Borders" scenery and excellent service from friendly staff. Greens, including practice area, were a bit "bobbly" after recent maintenance though perhaps it was the standard of our putting! All in all it was thoroughly enjoyable and is highly recommended.
