Scottish Borders Golf Courses
Founded in 1894, Duns Golf Club has gone through many changes in its more than a century of existence, and continues to challenge the locals of Berwickshire as well as traveling golfers.
This course has recently been extended and almost completely changed. It is now a challenging par 72 18 Hole course of approximately 6400 yards. Although quite new the course was in superb condition and the greens were excellent.
Calling this a 'hilly' course is an understatement! This course is not for the faint-hearted or those easily winded, but in the end it has its rewards. The clubhouse is located about midway up the hill.

The Hawick Golf Club has been in existence since 1873. The club is private with the course rented from Scottish Borders council, but maintained by the club. The Clubhouse was extensively refurbished in 1996 and is now very comfortable with attractive dining rooms and lounges as well.

Official handicap certificates required (24 for men, 36 for ladies). Must pre-book. The owner, The Duke of Roxburghe, says: "Once golfers have paid their green fee, they will be free to play from whichever set of tees they choose. I want them to enjoy themselves."
