Spey Bay Golf Links and Hotel
About
This is a visually pleasing undulating links course with a long beach on one side. Measuring 5,726 yards from the tips, Spey Bay Golf Club is a par 70.
Gorse and heather line the fairways here, and the beach creates a natural border on some holes - though it won't come into play unless you're completely wild off the tee.
No. 8 is Spey Bay Golf Club's signature hole. The small green sits atop a hillock, so you better be accurate or risk seeing your ball go tumbling down. This pretty much goes for all the holes at Spey Bay, which requires a thoughtful shot off the tee and a light touch around the greens.

Good
Tough to find tees when playing for the first time course was a little frozen which spoiled it a little (not there fault)
Beautiful course
Great course, managed to catch a day where there was no wind at all and made the links course amazing to play on.
Youngy
Nice course in beautiful setting right on the shoreline, greens had been hollow cored and nobody informed us so only downside but overhaul nice course.Tight for the wayward golfer.
perfect day
perfect day and perfect golf could only have been improved by better greens, but the work has to be done. 3 birdies and a near hole in one !
Peter

Very enjoyable all the staff were very friendly
I have my played most courses in the area and this on is a real hidden gem. The course is great, the views stunning I would recommend all golfers to play this course.
Tight Links
Played Spey Bay with my wife yesterday as we toured the Moray coast golf courses. We are 7 & 25 h’caps. It was a pretty tight links course with undulating fairways from start to finish. The tees and fairways were in decent condition although the greens were quite slow, which for a seaside links was not what we were expecting. I played the white medal tees and found the course a good test of golf due to the five par 4s over 400 yards. All the par 3s were good, particularly the 8th with a narrow green that was near impossible to hold the green with a cross wind. The green keeper must have had some fun cutting the holes, with a few pins positioned on side slopes, although this added to the challenge. Would like to play again when greens are quicker.
Holds up well in torrential rain!
Would love to go back and play when it is dry, played 18 in torrential rain, course held up well, greens excellent! 3 hours for 18 holes, soaked to the skin but loved it!
Outstanding !
Only a small clubhouse which was closed anyway and nobody around except a painter, decorating the outside, who informed us there was nobody around ! However, this was the only issue as we had pre booked a bargain with Golfnow. Glorious views over the Moray Firth towards Buckie in one direction, and Lossiemouth in the other. What a course ! Links at it's best ! Superb greens, true and fast. Fairways that run down gulleys bordered by thicker grass, heather and gorse. A little water in spots would be the only improvement I would make.
Great Links Course with a number of picturesque holes
Great value for only £15 but on a two of the holes it seemed like birds had destroyed the fairways. The greens were slightly on the slow side but all in all I would recommend to a friend.
Beautiful
Lovely course with great greens. Thoroughly enjoyed our day and will return
