The Ratho Park Golf Club offers a true parkland course. It is built within the park of a Georgian mansion. The golf course is reckoned as one of James Braid's finest creations; the golfer and designer opened it with a match against Harry Vardon in 1928.
Ratho Park Golf Club is an easily walked course, measuring just 5932 yards, and features several challenging holes at different lengths. A round of golf kicks off on Corstorphine, a par 4 that measures 258 yards from the white tees. The Long Hole, as it is named, is the 11th, a 519-yard par-5 monster.
You'll be thinking clubhouse by the time you reach The Terrace, the 360-yard par-4 18th. Then that's exactly where you should head, as the Ratho Park Golf Club's bar and restaurant will serve your needs and soothe your feet seven days a week.
