Polmont golf course is a very tough, short parkland course. However with the small raised greens and sloping fairways it plays like a links.

You have to be extremely accurate off the tee and also your approach shots into the very small fast running greens. More often you have to rely on your short game to save par as it is very difficult to stop the ball on the greens.

Their is excellent views over towards the ochill Hills and the members are a friendly bunch, very cheap green fees and a great test of your golf skills. If you can score well around Polmont you can score anywhere.

polmont is a tough short course. the main difficulty is hitting the small raised greens, more often than not you have to rely on your chipping from just off the greens to save par. the course is also tight and you have to be accurate off the tee to avoid trees or indeed out of bounds which is in play on most holes.

The course itself is in good condition and the views over the forth valley are stunning.the green fees are extremely cheap and if you want to put your whole game to test this is the best course in the area to do it. ive seen alot of very low handicappers struggle to score well.
