Oatridge golf course also known as Binny golf course, is fantastic short 9 hole course, where several of the par 4 holes are reachable from the tee. However the tactical bunker placements and sloping greens provide an excellent challenge. Club selection and shot shapping is critical from the tee on par 4 holes 3,5,6 and 7 as you need to be very accurate to avoid water and out of bounds.

My favourite hole is the par 4 9th. rescue club off tee to stay short of out of bounds, then 7 iron uphill over left bunker, which kicks the ball to the right, to middle of green. however it is a hole that has caused me some major problems in the past. I was 4 under par on the tee, hit a lovely drive down middle of fairway but left me with an awkward uphill/sidehill lie, which caused me to hit 2nd shot thin,it bounced off back of green and up against the OOB fence. I ended up taking a 6 and it ruined my up to then perfect round. Thats why i recommend rescue club off tee to stay short of slope.

The members are fantastic, lovely welcoming people. The clubhouse is small and cosy, providing light refreshments. The practice area is excellent, 2 practice nets, large putting green, 3 chipping greens and 2 practice bunkers. Green fees are very cheap, but phone in advance as the course is usually very busy.
