Kingarrock Golf Course offers a unique chance to play golf the way it was originally played in the 1920s. Players are provided with hickory clubs, balls, and tees used more than eight decades ago when the course first opened in 1924. The old canvas and leather bags that golfers are given for toting the clubs usually weigh in at only five pounds, including the equipment, meaning there is no need for a cart or buggy. The original golf course was plowed due to the war effort in the 1930s and in the years following the war, it was used for crops and grazing. Nearly eight decades later, the decision was made to renew the parkland to its former glory as a nine-hole course. After extensive research of the original layout in order to maintain the same traditional design, Kingarrock Golf Course reopened in 2002.
