When playing the full 18, this nine-hole golf course offers several alternative tee positions coming back in, allowing golfers to mix it up a bit. Isle of Skye is an ideal play for novice and seasoned golfers alike.

The course measures 4,677 yards over the full 18, playing to a par 66. Watch out for No. 2, the longest hole going both in and out.

Isle of Skye Golf Club includes a golf shop, changing rooms and a small practice area for pitching. There is also a small cafe.

This was a fun course when I played it in June 2009. Winds off the water, the scenic views, and the "kleep kleep's" from the nesting oystercatchers added to the experience. Not a 'pure' links course, I'd call it a cross between links and parkland, but without trees.

The only sour note of the day was the poor quality of the rental clubs. I hope to play here again, and can recommend the course.
