Innerleithen Golf Club
About
A nine-hole run located 32 miles south of Edinburgh in the Scottish Borders, Innerleithen Golf Course is set in the scenic valley of the river Leithen. Playing to 3,033 yards, Innerleithen is the perfect walking course, where a golfer can enjoy his favorite game in one of Scotland's most scenic locales.
The starting hole will immediately showcase the challenge that Innerleithen presents. A par 3 with the green surrounded on three sides with water, accuracy is a must, as it is throughout the entire course. The well-maintained greens and fairways will entice golfers of all levels, but those looking to mark down a low score will need to keep the ball in the fairway and be tidy with their approach shots. The course also includes the challenging No. 5 hole, which is a par 3 with an elevated green and will have you shooting over a road. Also, long hitters will be able to let fly with their drivers on the No. 8 hole, a 524-yard par 5.
With a stream coming into play on six holes, golfers will be challenged to avoid losing any golf balls as they'll have to also battle the incredible scenic qualities of Innerleithen, which will captivate both a player's game, and imagination. At at just £20 per round, players will get more for their money at Innerleithen Golf Club than at perhaps any other club in the prodigious Scottish Borders golf
region.

Excellent experience
It was great not be held up on a cool day. We had a very good experience and will definitely be back
November golf
Fine nine hole course, friendly welcome when we arrived, The course has a nice layout and was in good condition, considering the amount of rain. During our round we noticed the greenkeeper sponging the greens of excess water. Good day out
Good course set in beautiful surroundings with lots of quirks
Good, well maintained, 9-hole golf course with friendly members and a good range of holes to test all levels. There are a couple of monster par 4’s and the country road running through the course adds to the drama on the tee! Great value for money round, will definitely make a return visit. Recommended
Great course
Fantastic challenging nine holes course. Not easy at all. Members were very friendly. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. A very welcoming course. Condition of the course was great. Greens were fantastic. Would definitely play it again and again
Beautiful tranquility in the valley
On a sunny day Innerleithen GC is a lovely nine hole golf course to be playing. The layout is interesting with a mixture of long and short holes. There are some interesting challenges no matter what length of hole you're playing. Unfortunately, on the day we played we got stuck behind some very slow players who weren't keen to let us play through.

2nd time yesterday, exciting tight course.
Enough hazards to keep you alert.
Greens were good.
Well worth the money paid.
Delightful
A delightful 9·holder set in a picturesque steep sided, wooded valley.
The 1st is a par three to a small green set just across a stream with out of bounds right...and so it continues with little hazards to catch stray shots, but plenty to reward the good ones. The par 5 6th is a great hole from an elevated tee with a stream running down the fairway and oob left · and a green just tucked away in a corner.
Very nice condition with plenty of fescue grass on the fairways for those tight lies we love to see when we play on the links.
I play a lot of golf courses and this is one I would definitely play again.
9 hole cracker.
Nestled in the valley at the back Innerleithen you will find this 9 hole course. I utilises it’s confined space really well. It is a challenging wee course in a lovely backdrop. Many of the holes have water in play from the wee streams that run through. Accurate drives and approach shots are a must as there is heavy ruff on quite a few holes. Really enjoyed our round and will definitely play here again.
Great little course
Played this course half a dozen times and I’ve always enjoyed it, it’s very flat apart from 2 or 3 tee boxes, great course, would definitely play again and recommend
A little gem worth a visit
Played as a two ball at 12.00 for £12.00 as hot deal. Nine hole course along the river flood plain. Very warm welcome from members who we spoke to. Tough par 3 to open . Flatish course with a couple of climbs up to Tees. Some great holes and views are stunning. A couple of drives are close to oncoming players and if course very busy could get hairy. A road passes right through the course. Glad it was nine holes as needed front nine to get to know it. Back nine scoring much better as a result. Fairways and greens in really good condition and a pleasure to play. There is a quirky par three being the fifth but it is fun to play. Overall really enjoyed our visit and would recomend. Not much off course facilities with coffee machine and vending machine for cold drinks and chocolate.
Lovely Innerleithen
Great wee nine hole well looked after also a few challenges. I would recommend and I will be back
A Hidden Gem
Innerleithen is a quirky 9 hole course which has a good variety of holes and is very enjoyable to play. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were as good as you'll find on courses at 4 times the price. Well done to the green keepers. We arrived an hour prior to our tee time and were looking forward to a bacon buttie. Unfortunately we were disappointed and, despite signs advertising snacks and coffees it appears that they are only served on a Saturday. As we played on a Sunday we were a day late!! On arrival we were met by a very helpful committee member who took time to explain the course layout. The only negative downside was that I got a ticking off by a member for playing off the white tees. This is an outdated policy and, if you are a low handicap golfer visiting the course you want to play the course at its full length.
