This 9-hole course is something different from most seaside links. The Helmsdale Golf Club layout winds through bracken, gorse and broom, making for a truly beautiful setting in the spring and summer.
Helmsdale is short at just 1,860 yards, but accuracy is key here. This is particularly true on the 87-yard second hole. The ninth tee offers a panoramic view of the sea to the east.
Helmsdale Golf Club has two excellent restaurants: La Mirage and the Quiet Piggy. There are also three hotels in town.
Location: From A9 junction in Helmsdale, follow A897. Course is on right on outskirts of village.
