The variation in holes makes the Glenisla Golf Club both challenging to play and a memorable golfing experience. In only its fifth year, Glenisla has already been described as presenting one of the best tests in the area.
The golf course design is credited to Tony Wardle, who has worked alongside Robert Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus, incorporating terrain and natural hazards. At 6,402 yards, the par-71 parkland layout features undulating greens, rolling fairways and five water hazards all set in beautiful surroundings.
The most challenging hole, the 612-yard par-5 12th, requires two well played shots to set up a straightforward third. The undulating green is very much a characteristic of the course. The 18th hole is fronted by the Alyth Burn, which makes for a great finishing hole.
