Forres Golf Club
About
Designed by Open Championship winners James Braid and Willie Park, this par-70 golf course measures just under 6,300 yards from the tips. Forres Golf Club may not be a very long play by today's standards, but it is nevertheless a challenging round of golf.
Renowned for its views over the Findhorn Bay and the Noray Firth, the golf course is a wonderfully maintained, visually stunning layout. Forres is full of memorable holes, none more so than No. 16. Called the "Pond," this hole punishes errant tee shots with a watery grave.
Forres Golf Club has hosted the Scottish Professional Championship, the Northern Open and the Scottish Young Professionals Championships.
A clubhouse with a bar and restaurant is on site. There's also a stocked pro shop.

Superb greens
But shame about the bunkers!!
Don't get me wrong, I've played Forres 40 times and the course was in the best shape ever.... the greens were divine, medium fast but looked and putted smooth as silk. If you missed it was your fault. Great speed of play on a bank holiday and good weather laid on.
Alright, the criticism...... bunkers had variable sand depths but more importantly the members playing in front hadn't bothered to rake when they'd been in. How rude
Well maintained woodland course
Friendly and welcoming staff in the Proshop and club house The course is very well maintained and the greens were in excellent condition. Some golfers may find the undulating fairways off putting, as well the well placed bunkers.
Pleasant but Hilly Jewel
Up and down a few hills, but not overly demanding physically. Superb conditions, Nice snack bar with patio and golf course views. Not a destination course, just a pleasant, enjoyable layout.
Good for this time of year
Course in ok condition for time of year but was dissapointed after booking with Golfnow that it was a short course due to winter tees and greens with no prior warning. There was also 1 hole closed and a par 5 made into 2 par 3's.
Booking through Golfnow made this Course more expensive as the walk on price was the same as Golfnow price but had to pay a booking fee.
Dissapointment all directed at Golfnow not the golf club.
Another must play course in Moray
Fantastic value for money on a hot deal
Great fair and enjoyable course that was in very good condition
All the staff very pleasant and helpful
