Finally played again on the course where I learned golf 54 years ago…lovely trip down memory lane on a sunny afternoon. Can’t remember too many of them back then…

Cracking course

Our group have been playing local courses with a view to membership next year.

First time playing Elderslie and was blown away. Greens are in superb condition, as is the course on the whole. Great variety to the course with some really unique holes.

Lunch in the clubhouse was well priced and all the staff and members we met were friendly

First class course

Played it twice this week and it’s by far the best course I’ve played this year, greens are immaculate and the fairways and tees are well kept also. Friendly staff and the the patio area overlooking the course is a great place to have a refreshment after your round. I’ll definitely be back many more times.

Outstanding

Every time I play here it gets better and better the greens are some of the best I have played on and can’t fault the rest of the course. Members and staff were all very friendly and helpful, great wee clubhouse for food and drinks afterwards the view from the terrace is worth the green fee alone. Will definitely return this year and would like to become a member in the future outstanding set up that never disappoints

Another gem

Day started by being greeted by a very helpful and welcoming professional.
Practice green was an indication as to what to expect out on the course and that is fast
Just off the large car park is a nicely laid out practice area. It was busy with juniors which in itself is a good sign
The first hole could be daunting for any right hand slicers with the practice area running parallel
The overall condition of the course is excellent suggesting members respect their course with very few divot marks on the fairways
Holes to look out for
2nd nice short par 3
4th dog leg right
7th Index 1, seems further than expected
10th Downhill to the corner , ski slope in the winter
12th Over the hill , approach to the green
14th Nice par 5 , stay left of the massive tree
18th Nice finishing hole
Views from top of the course worth seeing
Due to time constraints we didnt have time to visit the clubhouse but looks nice with a balcony overlooking the first
Excellent days golf

Excellent day

No doubt helped by great weather, we had a really enjoyable round. A good layout, greens ran true and with pins stuck in tricky places, it was a good challenge.

Pro shop and hospitality were welcoming….would absolutely recommend a visit.
