I started my rocky road towards ultimate frustration - golf- some 40 odd years ago. I believe my Aunty Annie was a stalwart bag carrying member well into her seventies so D & B has very strong ties to my heart.

Standing on the first tee first time back is always a very emotional moment for me.

I always make a point of playing there every time I take a trip back home from Africa.

I rate the course four out of five which my go up when I return in October based on the obvious maturing of the new holes.

Son of Fred Sweet, Uncle of Glen Gilson, once removed brother of Liz Fertez.
