Drumpellier Golf Club
About
Located just east of Glasgow, Drumpellier Golf Club sits at the west end of Coatbridge. Since opening in 1894, it has become one of the area's most treasured courses. The layout is challenging but it's still player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course's has a memorable finish, ending on two of its best holes. The par-4 17th is just 270 yards, giving big hitters the opportunity for a grand finish by reaching the green from the tee. Those who don't want to take the risk can play it safe and aim for the fairway. Drumpellier Golf Club's final hole, another par 4, tumbles downhill across slopes ranging from subtle to dramatic. Be careful of running out of the fairway or you'll face an even tougher approach to the well bunkered green.

Quality of coarse
I loved playing the coarse . Condition of coarse was great . Layout of each hole was terrific to play . Whether hole was playing on a down slope from elevated tee position or playing up to elevated greens . Was great to play dogleg holes that required both a fade and draw shots from tee . I thought the par 3s were also great to play I liked the yardage and the mix from the tee . Overall was really impressed and would definitely play the coarse again
Geordies
Played this course a few times now … brilliant course … very friendly with being visitors to the course … some challenging holes even for the experienced golfer … great conditions
Recommended.
Friendly pro. Course in great condition and not too difficult. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn't use the clubhouse facilities but would imagine they were good.
Geordie tour
As a visitor to this course we were made to feel very welcome and this is why we have visited a few times with us working in Glasgow
I find all of the holes different and challenging for a mid handicapped player and condition of course is perfect …
Would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to play in the area
Still Great
Haven't played Drumpellier in a few years. Not disappointed at all. Course is fantastic. Absolutely brilliant and only 10 minutes from the house.
Great value
Great course. Conditions good for time of year (March). Would like to go back during summer months
Drumpellier
4 of us from Williamwood golf club played here today and loved it! Great course in excellent condition especially loved the par 3s. Went into the clubhouse afterwards and the great prices of our lunch and especially the price of the drinks put our own club to shame. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Winter greens
Great course in the summer but a few winter greens on today at the start of April.
We turned up for a 7.30 tee time but place was empty so couldn't even get a scorecard.
Other than that it was a good round.
Bit disappointed
The course was winter greens and mats, although this was the first time I've had to use mats in the rough.
I had considered joking at one point, but it would appear the course doesn't stand up well in the winter.
Pro was friendly and lent me a mat for my rouns

great course
course was in great condition and only one winter green in use. thoroughly enjoyed this challenging course
Winter Greens
Disappointed to pay full rate for all 18 greens to be winter greens. Course is great but it’s not right to charge full rates for winter greens.
Decent Course
The course has always held a reputation for me as being one of the more exclusive clubs in the area. As such I came with high expectations which were probably a bit unrealistic.
Overall its an okay layout with one or two really nice holes. The approach into 15 was probably the highlight with interesting bunkers and a drop in elevation into the green.
Condition wise I came in late October after weeks of cold and rain. Hats off to the greenkeeping team for having all greens and most tees in play. Play on the day was difficult though with a lot of bumps and tyre tracks on the greens.
Well worth the £19 deal I got for our round but not a course I would rush back to.
Great golf course
My friend and I enjoyed a sunny Friday afternoon playing Drumpellier. An excellent and challenging golf course. I must have used every club in the bag. Haven’t played here for 25 years but really enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be back.
