Dalbeattie Golf Club is a nine-hole course that has a reputation as being a haven for wildlife. Golfers can expect to catch glimpses of deer around the forested parts of the course and birds of prey flying overhead. The parkland layout consists of seven par-4s and two par-3s that offer panoramic views of the Urr Valley, including Cairnsmore of Carsphairn, Kippford, and the Lake District Hills. The golf course is gently sloped with out-of-bounds stakes and doglegs to provide some challenge. One of the most memorable holes is the par-4 fourth hole, which requires a straight drive to the corner of the golf course where players are met with a dogleg right to a small green.
