The 18-hole Thornhill Golf Club has a mixture of park and heathland features and spectacular views. It's been called the "hidden jewel." Measuring 6,085 yards, the Thornhill golf course won't give high handicappers a beating, but it won't bore scratch golfers to death either. It's an excellent walking course.

Located just one mile northeast of Bonnybridge, this nine-hole golf course is located in Scotland's underrated Central region. Bonnybridge Golf Club features a mixture of heathland and links elements due to the sand in the soil.

Known locally as "Carmuirs," Falkirk Golf Club is a parkland layout with slight undulation. It's a 6,230-yard par-71 course from the back tees. Falkirk will undergo a significant renovation in the coming years.

Cecil Hutchison and James Braid designed Dunblane New Golf Club. It features excellently manicured greens and splendid vistas in every direction. Measuring nearly 6,000 yards from the back tees, Dunblane is a par 69 golf course. The fifth hole, Panorama, is a delight, with wonderful views of the mountains to the northwest.
