Crieff Golf Club - Ferntower Course
About
The Ferntower Course is the 18-hole championship layout at Crieff Golf Club, which has been voted 29th best golfing facility in the UK by the readers of Golf World magazine. Ferntower is built on gently sloping parkland, with views over the Strathearn Valley that dramatically improve and unfold as the round progresses. With mostly wide fairways and the rough cut short enough to avoid prolonged ball searching, Ferntower appeals to all categories of handicapper. The par-71 golf course starts with a par-3 hole, a change from the norm. Although the opening hole measures 163 yards, it's all uphill, and there are three par 5s, among the remaining holes on the front nine.

Great course course was in great condition considering the wet weather staff at starters office very friendly and helpful
Far too slow
Course was in good condition considering the time of year but the pace of play was very slow.
Great course
Lovely course...very friendly team at pro shop and clubhouse
Enjoyable autumn golf at Crieff
The course looked good from the car park. It was even better out there. Great condition given time of year. Played the day after latest round of heavy rain and only a handful of patches that were muddy underfoot.
Definitely going back to play in the summer.
Crieff ferntower 18 hole course
had a great round here with 3 friends wide fairways only problem strong wind which hampered shots but on the whole easy walking course with electric cart course conditions were great greens were quite slick even in October would thoroughly recommend it to play and a beautiful part of Scotland
Superb course
Played this a few days ago. Course was in unreal condition considering we had a day and half of heavy rain Friday and Saturday. Great layout with some good holes. Wide open fairways to help off the tee but hitting into small greens surrounded by bunkers that require accuracy. Greens ran true and fast. Will definitely be back
Very impressed
Couldn't fault our round at Crieff Ferntower, course condition for October was excellent, greens immaculate & fast paced, course quite wide off the tee, but protected by small-medium sized greens which are very well bunkered. Best value golf I can remember & we will definitely return next year.
Excellent
The course was in lovely condition, credit given to the green keepers.
Lovely views of the surrounding countryside, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this as a course to play.
Great Course, very long round !!!
Great Course played second time in a week. Sadly on this occasion due to a Fog delay we were 60 minutes late teeing off before loads of 4 balls. Waited on every shot, and every tee, not good. Think they may have overbooked course !!
Fabulous
What is there not to like about this course......if I lived nearby I would be excited being a member
Absolutely stunning course, will definitely play again if we are in the area
Good days golf
Ideal holiday golf, gentle introduction on 1st nine holes,
Back nine more challenging with some excellent par 4’s
That make club selection critical .
Disappointing 18th hole to finish though. Would play again if on holiday in this region in future.
4 ball
Course in great condition only downfall was never having an even lie.everything running to road some severe slopes.take a few rounds to get used to slopes.

Great course, excellent condition and great value. Greens were in superb condition. Would highly recommend
Perfect Perthshire
Played this course 20 years ago, but could not remember any of the holes.
Partners arrived late, but Pro in the shop said would fit us in and don’t worry.
Ladies were playing the 9 hole course, but each and everyone of them was very pleasant and made you feel really welcomed.
Course was in excellent condition and the greens were like lightening, pity I couldn’t match the putting to the greens conditions.
Some tremendous holes that you had to think before you played.
Ohh and the added bonus of a deer running across the fairway, then stood and watched up tee off at the 10th.
Overall a fantastic days golf, which is thanks to the accommodating Pro in the shop, the green keepers and all concerned to this brilliant club.
I would thoroughly recommend golfers to play this course.
