Castle Stuart Golf Links, designed by Mark Parsinen and Gil Hanse, is a championship links golf course overlooking no only the Moray Firth, but also landmarks synonymous with Inverness and the Black Isle (Chanonry Lighthouse and Kessock bridge are perhaps the most notable). Why does the last post from Jack Gibson only rate at 2.5 stars when clearly, his comments surpass that!!?

This course is five star plus! The best golf course built in Scotland since Turnberry or Loch Lomond. Now, the Highlands have another true gem to match with Royal Dornoch, and Cruden Bay down the east coast. By all means, include a round at Castle Stuart!

Recently returned from 10 days in Scotland. Played the Old Course, Dukes Kingsbarns, Royal Dornoch and Castle Stuart. Castle Stuart was by far the best golf course. Only open 2 months, it looks like it has been there 200 years. Plenty of tee locations for all players. best condition of any, mix of long holes and short holes, great and fair bunker locations and large slightly undulating greens. A great scenic course, modern but art deco clubhouse, great staff and caddies. Five stars!
