Designed by James Braid in 1936, Buchanan Castle Golf Club is just a half hour from Glasgow and close to Loch Lomond and the charming village of Drymen. It's an 18-hole parkland golf course with tree-framed fairways.
This feature sounds simple, but it can be troublesome, especially on the first and ninth holes, where you'll have to be on your game to score well. You'll find relief on the true, flat greens though.
The facility also includes a par-3 practice course, a clubhouse with a bar and dining area and a fully-stocked pro shop. You can also get a lesson from a PGA teaching professional.
