A good course, but some holes seem repetitive due to playing on successive quite steep contours: some spectacular views do make the hard work worthwhile. The course was very well maintained and greens in good condition though a few pools on them when we played. There are some long (& steep) drags from green to tee and a quick round for three of us with no waiting took over 4 hours. Recommend you take a trolley if not a buggy. The clubhouse and shop are really nice with a good view afforded over the 18th.The staff couldn't have been more welcoming.
Make plans now to play the round of a lifetime at the Home of Golf. We are taking requests for 2012 tee times for the venerable Old Course at St. Andrews. Tee times for 2011 are sold out, but by acting now you can ensure that the Old Course will be part of your 2012 golf vacation to Scotland.
