Designed by James Braid, Brora Golf Club hasn't changed much since the revered golf course architect left the grounds in 1923. It remains a traditional links layout measuring 6,156 yards from the tips.
The golf course, home to the James Braid Golfing Society, unfolds over 194 acres of land. Golfers will enjoy the mixture of bent grass and beach sand - and be wise to keep an eye out for the railway that comes into pay on the 10-th tee.
Location: Five miles north of Golspie on A9. Fifty one miles from Inverness. Turn right in centre of village to seaside car park.

- Very natural, walkable, greens in great shape. A unique setting with the sea, the cows, and the sheep. The wind picked up and it was a challenge. Only about 30 minutes from Dornoch. Had a great 36 at Brora with a great lunch.Some may look at electric fences, sheep on the course and the odd cow but for me this is up there with the best courses I've played.
Perfect natural setting, holes that make you think and a great old club house.
Well worth the journey.
