Balmore golf club

Great course , especially giving consideration to the time of year and downpours we experienced on the day , very interesting and varied holes . Will play Balmore again during the summer when weather is drier .
I also liked the rural feel of the course , was nice.
Thanks for the hospitality too in the clubhouse and pro shop !!

Little beauty

Don’t be put off by the par 68 it’s got some long par 4s & 3s. Quite a few blind shots but didn’t lose any balls for a change. We got round as 2 ball in just under 3 hrs but there’s a couple off holes that crossover each other so on a busier day I think more like 4 would be the norm. Give it a try.

A real gem

Just 20 minutes from Glasgow, this course is a great challenge. Don’t be put off by the low yardage, all the par 4s are a challenge and the par 3s are a delight. Very friendly members and the professional in the shop was most welcoming. Can’t wait to return.

Meet up with friends

Lovely day for a game of golf. Played here many years ago so was interested to see how it's changed. Still like the course, challenging holes and a bit hilly in places but it wouldn't be golf if it was too easy!
Course condition was good despite the recent sunny and dry weather, greens ran true
At a disadvantage when buggies are behind and we're walking, feel them bearing down somewhat which is a bit offputing

Balmore Golf Club

Once again Balmore didn’t let me down. My brother and I hadn’t played it in a while, so we decided to play it last week. Once again, it didn’t let us down, as usual, Robert, in the club shop gave us his usual friendly welcome, from the tee boxes, to the lush fairways, the course is in mint condition, along with the greens, which were terrific, so hats off to the green keeper, and his staff.Great value for money, and I’m looking forward to our next visit,

Brilliant course

Had the pleasure of playing here today, and I have to say what a brilliant course here.
Fairways where brilliant and the greens are up there with the best in and around the area.
Had the pleasure of playing with two members who asked if I would like to tag on with them. Jim and Kenny both great ambassadors for the club and made the round enjoyable. Top lads.

Would definitely recommend playing here. 15th is a wee hidden gem!

Playing Balmore in July 2022

This golf course was in pristine conditions, superb considering the hot weather over the last month. Must congratulate the Balmore green staff, fairways and greens absolutely first class, we’ll be back for the seniors open in August.

Balmore

Even although a par 66 some of the par 4’s are lengthy especially in the wind. Good variety of holes and some crackers of par 3’s. Go in the rough at your peril as your ball would most likely to be lost and if you found it you would be very lucky to get it out.

Superb condition

Just luck I suppose but it took 4hrs 30minutes to get around due to slow group in front! Friendly staff and course conditions were excellent as always.

Lovely course

Really good course, a few blind holes and a shared fairway the only negatives. Greens excellent and tough bunkers. Need to be straight for a good score with no par 5s.
