Ballachulish House Golf Course is located on a historic estate now serves as a charming country house hotel and golf course with antique Georgian furnishings and a walled garden. Built in 1640, the estate is rich with local stories and historic, lending character to the golf course, which was completed in 2001. The golf course offers stunning panoramic views of Loch Linne and the Munros to the north. The golf course has a challenging layout, but it is still playable for both low and high handicappers. Although Ballachulish House Golf Course is a membership club, the facilities are open to the public.

I'm not a golfer - but my son and wife are , we were attracted to this course as it was advertised as 'informal' and 'family friendly'. We were on holiday and relaxed about the fact that 3 holes out of the 9 were unplayable due to repair works, we were O.K with all the greens being heavily perforated because of the recent rain - but when a member of staff drove up to us and accused me of playing and evading green fees we got the message and decided to leave - not a 'friendly' or 'relaxing' course at all in our view.
