Auchterderran Golf Club is situated amidst the rolling countryside of the former mining village of Cardenden. The course has a unique, idyllic charm that holds its own even against Fife's many exceptional golf courses. It is a layout that appeals to a variety of skill levels, with more forgiving features to balance the difficulty of some of the holes. The most challenging is definitely the fifth hole. This blind par 3 will prove to be a formidable test to even the most skilled golfers. The hole features a small green and a narrow, sloping fairway as well as out-of-bounds to the left and gorse to the right.
