Aboyne Golf Club

The course was fantastic. The fellow when booked was very welcoming and friendly. Ten out of ten for him. Playing the course was excellent. Course in excellent condition. Greens were fantastic. The chef was very friendly so was the waitress. The fish i received i had to put back was overcooked. The second time the batter was a litte undercooked. I would give the meal after a 7. I would definitely return again and recommend people. I would like baked potatoes on the food menu. I know we are in crazy unsettling times with civid 19.

Very courteous young woman in the pro shop who went out of her way to accommodate my group. Would definitely make a return visit the next time I'm in the area. Course was beautifully manicured and great value for money.

Aboyne is up there with the best in the Aberdeen shire area. Course condition superb and greens were fantastic. The front nine warms you up ready for the back nine which is rather technical with a number of holes with little room for error. A must for those that enjoy their game. A special thanks to Kimberly who always makes my wife and I feel very welcome.

First time playing Aboyne but was definitely worth the hour drive, the course it’s self was in great condition the greens were at a great pace with some pin positions quite challenging , myself and playing partner enjoyed how open it was but yet found no two holes the same the par 3s were all tricky due to pin position we were always questioning the club best to play which added to our round as we were playing matchplay on this occasion, and to finish the round the 18th is perfect opportunity to finish the round on birdy not that we did!..... We did however find that we were held up by a fourball whom weren’t interested in us passing through which was a shame, but afterwards in the clubhouse we did have a delicious cheeseburger and chips which topped off a great day of golf..... Well Done Aboyne

Aboyne is an excellent challenge suitable for all levels.

The setting is stunning and the course is very well manicured.

The front nine have generous fairways classic parkland, then the back nine give you a stem test of heathland golf which will punish poor course management..

Definately recommends and look forward to returning in the near future.

A wonderful scenic golf course. The par 5 10th hole being the highlight, with the lake running alongside. Greens were in perfect condition and it was a good mix of holes. The long par 3’s were particularly challenging! Would love to play here again.

Aboyne is a lovely , well presented course with great value for money . Testing at times but an enjoyable test in spectacular scenery.

Lovely course with plenty of challenges for all golfers regardless of handicap.
If you are in Deeside with your clubs don't miss this one out or you will regret it.

The golf course was fantastic to play. If lived nearer i would probably base myself there. The fellow who greeted me was very friendly and talkative. No criticism on the course condition. Afterwards went and got food. I know the menu probably limited at the moment. The food was ok.

Seperately i booked though the golf now app for to play on sat the 5th by mistake. I cancelled within minutes when realised. I was still chargwd for it. I did call the golf now they said i was given a refund. Hopefully that issue i have can be resolved.

Its a easy ten out of ten to play Aboyne Golf Course.

Played late October so no problem with pace of play. Though had been Some rain beforehand not much mud. Rain had slowed greens but they were still in excellent condition. As mentioned course is varied with differing challenges. All staff were welcoming and clubhouse offers excellent facilities. Beautiful location.

I have played this course many times while on holiday in the Highlands. It is my favourite course in the area as it is a good course to play with a variety of holes in spectacular surroundings.

Myself and 15 others held a charity golf outing at Aboyne and were not disappointed. The course was in fantastic condition from tee box to greens. The opening 9 holes are somewhat different to the back 9, with both offering a test to all who participated. The staff were welcoming, friendly and we would highly recommend the course to both individuals and group bookings. Thanks again for the hospitality and we will be back.

I played this course while on holiday and had a good day out. From meeting Kimberley in the shop when I arrived until I left all the staff and were friendly. The course was in good condition considering the hot summer we have had and the greens were in great condition.

Very nice and picturesque course in royal deeside. Some lovely holes and good variety.

Friendly staff welcomed us, we had played here previously and loved the course and the surrounding beauty. Tough course but playable and well worth it, would thoroughly recommend it to all.

Little rain at the start of the round but not enough to worry about, some tricky holes in the back 9. Competition on ahead of us to pace of play was not an issue, second time playing the course , enjoyed very much.

Probably helped by the fact that I played well but I loved this course, varied range of holes with varied lengths, some wicked dog-legs and some narrows tee-shots but even as an intermediate I still played to my handicap with a couple of big numbers on the card.

Course was in great condition and the best greens I've played on this year to date. I travelled an hour to play here and would happily return, may even play in their open.

The course was closed until 09:30am due to frost and I teed off at 09:53am but you wouldn't have known that it had been closed for that reason. Was Easter Monday and I expected the course to be busy, it was more steady but pace of play was good and members even apologized for slow play even though they weren't holding me up.

Great course and amazing scenery, three and a bit hours of peace and quiet, can't beat it.

Have played many courses and Aboyne rates as one of the very best in our opinion. We had visited recently, didn't play the course but were very impressed by the look of it so decided to return and play. We were not disappointed! The course was in excellent condition, the holes were both challenging and very interesting - have never before played holes which were almost horse shoe shaped! The bar steward was exceedingly helpful and friendly and the catering staff provided a good service. Looking forward to playing it again in the near future.
