Moray Golf Club - The New Course
About
Sir Henry Cotton extended this into an 18-hole golf course in 1979. Playing to a par 69, Moray Golf Club's New Course measures 6,008 yards, making it considerably shorter than the Old Course. The course may not be long, but it's a tough round of golf nevertheless. It's got tighter fairways and smaller greens than its big brother, so you'll have to be accurate to keep your scorecard in check here.
The facility includes a clubhouse, which hasn't changed much in the last 75 years, with changing rooms. Visitors are welcome.

Quality greens
Played the course with a friend. Excellent value for money. Full greens, but had to use a mat or move the ball to the side, which is normal for the time of year. Will hopefully play again soon.
A day out
Through teeofftimes me and 2 mates played the new course.a proper links course with plenty whin bushes but wide enough fairways to enjoy your golf.the greens were lovely with true rolling putts and stoppage on pitch shots.this is the second course at moray as the old course is number one and more expensive.moray new is well worth a visit for any golfer and good value.the pro and staff are lovely and helpful.
Great golf
Played them both and they have got many good holes in a stunning setting love it
Links golf
Golf at its best, links golf in the wind course great test,
An absolute gem
The New Course is always comparable to the Old in my opinion. Maybe a bit shorter in length but as good a challenge and always in as good condition as The Old. Greens were in better nick than The Old last week, as they'd not been hollow tined unlike The Old. £10 for 18 holes on one of the best Links in the area. Absolute gem & friendly staff in the shop & clubhouse at all times
A true links
Nice welcome from the pro, who explained how to reach the New course by walking out one hole's length from the Old course first. Very good tees and superb greens. It would all be an "excellent" but for the condition of some fairways near the beach in more definite dune areas, where the surfaces were patchy and knobbly. In a crosswind the course was tricky, but there is plenty of run, so length is not a big problem. One or two extra balls would help!
( My wife, a 26 handicap, made 39 Stableford points, by staying straight and getting the extra run)
One of the best
Have played this course many times and have always enjoyed it. The noise of the fighter jets taking off and landing can be quite challenging but entertaining.
